Growing in Community

 At Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, we like to have fun. We know that fellowship is crucial to growing in community with each other.
 
Many opportunities exist to bring people together in both small and church-wide events. 
 
Regular activities which are open to all include:
  • Book and Bible studies—Days and time vary. Check the calendar or newsletter for details. For questions or more information, contact Sam Foster.
  • Wednesday Night Alive—Community meal at 6:00 p.m. followed by education for all ages. Check the calendar or newsletter for details. For questions or more information, contact Sam Foster.
  • Men’s Group—meets for breakfast and fellowship on the second Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. For questions or more information, contact the church office.
  • Women's Night Out—women of all ages gather to recharge, eat and enjoy fellowship once a month at a variety of local restaurants. For questions or more information, contact the church office.
  • Episcopal Church Women—meets on the third Tuesday of the month (September through May) at 7:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall to promote spiritual growth and nourishment, education and service. 
  • Crafter's Circle—bring your craft project or come to learn something new.  A great way to get to know each other.  Meets the third Sunday of most months, 3-5 PM.  Check the calendar for details.
  • Senior High Youth Group—meets every Sunday of the school year at 6:00 p.m. at the church (unless announced otherwise) for fellowship, fun, spiritual enrichment, and service.  For questions or more information, contact Sam Foster.   
  • Middle School Youth Group—meets every Sunday of the school year at 6:00 p.m. at the church (unless announced otherwise) for fellowship, fun, spiritual enrichment, and service. For questions or more information, contact Sam Foster.  

 

Some church-wide events occur annually:

  • Church-wide garage sale to benefit Wichita Children’s Home
  • Trunk or Treat
  • Hobo Stew Party
  • Steak Dinner sponsored by Men’s Group
  • Chili Feed
  • Bake sales sponsored by ECW
  • Vacation Bible School

 

Monthly Supper Club with Friends

Watch the bulleting board in Fellowship Hall for the details and sign-up sheet for the next Supper with Friends.This ia a potluck dinner that is held in people's homes every first Friday of the month.

You are more than welcome to bring friends. Newcomers are especially welcome. This will be an adults (couples and singles) night out dinner.

Space will be limited. Reservations will be first come first served.
